Etats-Unis (Minneapolis, Minnesota, 18/09/1884 - 02/02/1948)

Sténographe et auteure. Elle a écrit cinq romans et une petite dizaine de nouvelles, exclusivement durant les années 1916 à 1920. Malgré cette période de production très courte, elle est reconnue comme une des première autrice de SF de qualité, et la créatrice du genre qui devint la dark fantasy.
